We competed in CU Hacking 2026 in Ottawa with the initial goal of tackling the QNX Hackathon Challenge. Our team built BioReact-Pi — an edge-AI bioreactor controller on a Raspberry Pi that reads live temperature sensors, applies a logistic bacterial growth model on-device, and streams everything to a real-time web dashboard with an animated petri-dish colony visualization. Though we pivoted away from the QNX OS to Raspberry Pi OS mid-hackathon, we secured 3rd Place Overall in the main competition!
